The Role

Starting 1st September 2026, you will play a key part in helping pupils build confidence, achieve positive outcomes, and foster engagement in learning. This is a contract role, Monday to Friday, 8:30am – 3:15pm, with an extended day on Wednesdays (until 4:15pm).

Pay Rate: £98.00 per day

Location: Worcester

Job Type: Long-Term Temporary

Hours: Monday – Friday: 8:30am – 3:15pm; Wednesday: 8:30am – 4:15pm

Start Date: 1st September 2026

 

Role Responsibilities
  • Support pupils with SEN, ASD, ADHD, SEMH needs and challenging behaviour throughout the school day
  • Develop and maintain positive relationships to encourage engagement and participation
  • Assist with classroom activities and individual learning plans
  • Help pupils with emotional regulation, confidence, and social development
  • Promote positive behaviour through consistent support and boundaries
  • Work alongside teachers and wider support teams to tailor support for each pupil

 

Skills and Experience
  • Experience working within a PRU, Alternative Provision, SEMH, or similar environment is essential
  • Background supporting pupils with ASD, ADHD, SEN, and challenging behaviour
  • Strong understanding of behaviour management and emotional regulation strategies
  • Ability to build positive relationships with young people
  • Calm, patient, consistent approach
  • Education, SEND, or care-based qualifications desirable; relevant experience essential
  • Enhanced Child DBS on the Update Service or willingness to have one processed
  • Available for a full-time, long-term role from September 2026
  • Able to complete compliance checks promptly
