Head of Media Studies (Maternity Cover)

Overview
At Kent College, Canterbury, we are seeking a well-qualified, experienced and innovative teacher to lead our Media department from January 2026. This is a full-time position, temporary for the period of maternity leave.The successful candidate will maintain the department’s successes with a passion for exciting learning in the classroom. They will have a proven track record in teaching Media at the required levels, alongside excellent organisational, ICT and interpersonal skills. Pupils follow the OCR Cambridge Technicals Level 3 course at KS4 and 5, and potential candidates must be able to support students in the use of Adobe Premiere Pro and Adobe Photoshop.Responsibilities
Lead the Media department from January 2026 on a temporary basis.Deliver high-quality teaching for OCR Cambridge Technicals Level 3 at KS4/KS5.Support students in using Adobe Premiere Pro and Adobe Photoshop.Maintain and develop department standards and learning outcomes.Requirements/Qualifications
Proven teaching experience in Media at the required levels.Strong organisational, ICT and interpersonal skills.Ability to support students with Adobe Premiere Pro and Adobe Photoshop.Contract and Additional Details
