Your new companyA local authority legal team is seeking an experienced Adult Social Care Solicitor to join on a rolling contract with a long-term outlook. You''ll be joining a supportive, highly collaborative in-house environment handling impactful Adult Social Care work at a busy time for the department.Your new roleYou''ll provide specialist legal advice across Adult Social Care services with a strong focus on Court of Protection matters. Key responsibilities include: Advising ASC services on a full range of Care Act and Mental Capacity Act issuesManaging Court of Protection cases (including drafting applications and orders)Instructing and liaising with counselHandling ordinary residence, funding disputes, and Mental Health Act queriesRunning professionals'' meetings and engaging directly with internal clientsMonitoring relevant case law and providing practical updates to colleaguesThis is a hands-on role in a busy team where you''ll be trusted to work autonomously from day one.
