About the RoleWe’re recruiting for a forward-thinking

Head of Engineering

to lead and develop an engineering division, embedding Continuous Improvement (CI) methodologies and delivering excellence across manufacturing operations. This is a senior leadership position, overseeing strategic projects, driving innovation, and shaping engineering strategies that deliver measurable business impact.

Responsibilities

Lead, mentor, and inspire a multi-disciplinary engineering team.

Deliver enterprise-wide Lean Six Sigma and CI initiatives with measurable results.

Oversee complex, large-scale projects with multi-million-pound budgets.

Shape and implement long-term engineering and asset strategies.

Drive improvements in Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) through Lean and TPM.

Develop refurbishment and investment plans, including new line proposals.

Partner with HSE to ensure compliance with legislative requirements.

Implement structured AM (Autonomous Maintenance) and PM (Preventive Maintenance) programs.

Optimise production line changeovers using SMED to minimise downtime.

Introduce a robust reactive maintenance strategy focused on efficiency and root cause analysis.

What You’ll Bring

Lean Six Sigma Black Belt certification (essential).

Proven track record in senior engineering leadership.

Experience managing large, complex projects on time and within budget.

Strong background in Continuous Improvement, Lean, and operational excellence.

Demonstrated success in leading teams, developing talent, and driving cultural change.

Strategic, hands-on leader with strong communication and project management skills.
