Senior Director of Practice Development, Commercialization and Go-to Market

for the

Europe Marketing Services Team

to help us build and commercialize new solutions that sit at the intersection of our clients’ priorities and investment areas. As the Marketing Services business continues to rapidly scale and grow in the coming years, this is a critical focus area as we aim to help clients grow their business, through increased awareness, acquisition, usage, loyalty, and retention. This individual will be an expert in developing and executing effective end-to-end campaigns, demonstrates strong commercial acumen with the ability to translate client briefs into actionable strategies and have deep knowledge of the various Marketing Technology Platforms available in the industry that underpin effective digital marketing campaigns.

As a key member of the Europe Marketing Services leadership Team, the selected candidate will advance the strategy, vision, and go-to-market approach to help achieve the Marketing Services financial growth aspirations in the coming years. This person will be responsible for building the Practice Development function with an initial focus on Digital Acquisition and Portfolio Management. In addition, this person will lead the development of new capabilities in partnership with the Global Marketing Services team and specifically within the region, such as the development and expansion into CMS clients and content, expansion of internal agency and other new solutions. This role will also partner closely with the Marketing Digital Experiences to advance the MarTech capabilities and solutions.

This position will report directly into the Vice President, Europe Marketing Services.

Key Responsibilities

Lead development of a new Lifecycle Marketing Practice Area (digital acquisition and portfolio management) within the Marketing Services Business, including the creation of in-depth playbooks and sales materials that help us win new business with clients. They will also work closely with client marketing lead to help sell in these solutions to key clients.

Lead the development of commercialization strategies for available assets and provide strategic guidance to cluster teams to ensure delivery against defined commercial targets

Serve as a subject matter expert (SME) in client conversations to demonstrate how Visa can help clients execute holistic, personalized campaigns across channels to grow their portfolios, in close partnership with the Client Marketing Services Teams.

Partner with DXC, Product, Technology, and more to identify the right Marketing Technology Platform(s) to deliver effective Digital Marketing Campaigns for our clients, and oversee the commercialization efforts, including:

Regional prioritization

Audience prioritization

KPIs

Pricing and Contracting

Sales Enablement

Advertising + Communications

Training

Post-Launch Activities

Build new capabilities, content and upskill the team across new areas like CMS, creative as a service and other key areas of importance.

This is a hybrid position. Expectation of days in office will be confirmed by your hiring manager.

Qualifications

Significant experience with a Bachelor’s Degree or an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA)

Demonstrated relevant experience in leading commercial teams to achieve robust sales targets, contributing to the commercialization of digital and tangible assets, and managing teams to generate revenue.

Prior relevant experience leveraging a leading Marketing Technology Platform to execute world-class digital campaigns end-to-end. Track record of success in developing and implementing successful digital marketing campaigns.

In-depth understanding of financial services fundamentals.

Strong commercial acumen, outcomes-driven, and ability to use data to prove what is –or isn’t—working.

Demonstrated ability to structure, manage, and coordinate complex cross-enterprise projects and processes with multiple stakeholders and execute on a strategy to drive action.

Regional sensibilities and empathetic outlook to work well with other markets and cultures around the Europe region.

A strong public speaker, comfortable and poised in front of large groups with the ability to clearly communicate compelling messages up, down, and across the organization.

Extremely organized with quick follow through and a bias towards action.

Strong working relationships with and management of external agency partners.

Experience working within Visa Marketing Services is preferred, but not required.

Proven record launching and monetising new marketing service lines across multiple markets, incl. pricing, packaging, sales enablement and post-launch optimization

Deep hands-on expertise in omni-channel lifecycle marketing (acquisition, onboarding, cross-sell, retention, loyalty) and campaign measurement / attribution

Strong knowledge of Martech stacks – CDP, ESP, DMP, CMS, decisioning, analytics; experience running vendor evaluations, RFPs and contract negotiations

Experience developing playbooks, training programmes and upskilling cross-functional teams (strategy, creative, data, tech)

Advanced certification or working proficiency in leading Martech platforms (e.g., Salesforce Marketing Cloud, Adobe Experience Cloud, Braze, Tealium, etc.) preferred

Familiarity with content-management systems, creative automation and “creative-as-a-service” models

Strong grasp of GDPR and European data-privacy / consent requirements

Exceptional client-facing presence; comfortable advising C-suite and leading new-business pitches

Demonstrated ability to influence and align stakeholders across in complex, matrixed organisations

Payments, fintech or broader financial-services domain knowledge highly desirable

Deep understanding of today\''s AI-driven digital landscape and its impact on marketing with demonstrable experience with top tech companies preferred.

Strong ability in assessing marketing automation platforms and evaluating martech needs to deliver solutions.

Excellent written and verbal communication; fluency in English required, additional major European language a plus

Advanced level of Excel, Word, Outlook and PowerPoint.
