We are looking to recruit a Speech and Language Therapist or Higher level Teaching assistant to work with an Outstanding Primary School in Handsworth, Birmingham. Working a shift pattern of any 3 days per week, you will be responsible for supporting primary aged learners with Speech and Language difficulties. Reporting to both the SENCO and Headteacher, you will be responsible for a defined number of pupils with responsibilities including:- Providing interventions to support a wide range of Speech, Language and Communication Needs.- Providing Assessment for speech, language and communication needs of individual pupils- Planning and delivering intervention support- Evaluating and reporting on outcomes from interventions- Working in collaboration with the wider staff team ; Teachers, Teaching Assistants etc. to set and review progress targets.- Provide training and share knowledge with staff team to be able to deliver intervention packages- Provide written reports for parents regarding speech, language and communication needs of their children The ideal applicant will ideally hold a degree in Speech and Language and have hands on experience working in a primary school setting.
