London I have an excellent opportunity for a Senior Estimator to join a reputable main contractor with a turnover exceeding £100m, based in their offices in North West London.The company have been around for close to 30 years’ and have continuously grown year after year. They started out as a refurbishment contractor carrying out demolition/structural alteration packages, and over the years have evolved as a reputable concrete, groundworks, structural alterations and package contractor, carrying out some challenging, complex structural projects across a range of sectors including Healthcare, Education, Industrial, Retail, Commercial, Social Housing and Residential.They have widened their services over the years and now offer their clients full construction services within their Main Contract Division and Rail and Infrastructure Works Division, which are supported by their Plant Division.A high proportion of their work is from repeat business with clients who appreciate their flexibility and professional approach, along with their ability to get the job done the right way. The company also have a high staff retention rate which speaks volumes.They are looking for a Senior Estimator to join them on a permanent basis, working on projects between £500,000 to £15m in value using various types of Contract; JCT, NEC including Design and Build options.Skills and Experience:Track record working for a reputable Main Contractor on various project / contract types across a range of sectors up to £15m in valueAdministration of the full tender process from inception to settlement with DirectorsCapability of producing accurate Cost Plans – knowledge of building costs/m2;ft2Understanding of various forms of Procurement Process – including 2 stage tendersAbility to provide own BQ for specification and drawing projectsKnowledge of system estimating softwareHighlighting Tender Risk and Opportunities – Practical, Commercial and ContractualPreparation of Notes and Clarifications for Tender SubmissionsDemonstrate ability in the pricing of tender PreliminariesAbility to resource the tender through in depth experience of Supply Chain capacityUnderstanding Design and Build tenders including co-ordinating Design ConsultantsFormulating Contractors ProposalsOutlining the relevance of CDPs within a given schemeCompetency of M and E Services installation and ‘Green’ Building techniquesAbility to partake in meaningful value engineering exercisesAttendance and presentation at Mid Bid and Post Tender InterviewsInvestigation various forms of construction and liaising with Specialist Sub-ContractorsModular, Pre Fabricated SystemsBasic understanding of NRM and BIMIf you are a Senior Estimator with the right experience and you are interested in this role, please apply with an updated CV or call Rob on: 07733 529 573Apply For This Job
