Are you an experienced Regional Sales Manager who combines strong people leadership with a genuinely analytical approach to sales performance?

We are recruiting a Regional Sales Manager to lead and develop a team of six Field Sales professionals operating across the South West and South Wales.

This isn''t simply about managing people and reviewing last month''s numbers. You''ll need to understand what''s happening within each territory, monitor KPIs and pipeline performance, identify where future sales could slow down and coach your team to take action before that impacts results.

The Role

As Regional Sales Manager, you will:

• Lead, coach and develop a team of six Field Sales professionals
• Take responsibility for regional sales performance and achievement of targets
• Monitor individual and team KPIs, pipeline, activity and commercial performance
• Identify emerging gaps in pipeline or future sales performance
• Coach individuals on actions required to improve results
• Conduct regular one-to-ones, performance reviews and field coaching
• Help the team develop their territories and identify new opportunities
• Support significant customer opportunities and commercial negotiations
• Analyse sales data and provide accurate forecasting and reporting
• Ensure CRM and pipeline information provides visibility of future performance
• Develop individual capability and create clear development plans
• Build a positive, accountable and commercially focused sales culture
• Maintain strong relationships with key customers across the region

What We''re Looking For

You must have previous experience leading and developing a field-based sales team, together with a strong personal background in B2B sales.

You''ll need to demonstrate that you can do more than motivate people. We''re looking for someone who understands the mechanics behind sales performance and can use KPIs, pipeline information and commercial data to make better decisions.

Ideally, you will have:

• Proven experience leading a field sales team
• Strong B2B sales experience
• Excellent sales coaching and people-development skills
• Experience managing individual and regional sales KPIs
• Strong pipeline management and forecasting ability
• Commercial awareness and confidence working with sales data
• Ability to identify future performance issues and take action
• Strong communication, presentation and negotiation skills
• Effective planning, organisation and self-management
• Good working knowledge of CRM systems and Microsoft Office
• Full UK driving licence

Experience within material handling or forklift sales would be particularly valuable. We would also consider strong sales leaders from capital equipment, plant, construction equipment, access equipment, industrial machinery, commercial vehicles or other technical B2B environments.

Location

This is a field-based regional position covering a team spread across Bristol, Gloucestershire, South Wales, Somerset and Devon.

There is considerable flexibility over where you live within the region. Bristol is being used as the central advertised location rather than requiring the successful candidate to be Bristol-based.
