Senior Risk and Compliance Manager

Organisation: Cranfield University Faculty or Department: Finance Based at: Cranfield Campus, Cranfield, Bedfordshire Hours of work: 37 hours per week Contract type Permanent Salary: £49,735 per annum Apply by: 23/10/2026 Role Description About the Role As Senior Compliance and Risk Manager, you will support the University in managing and improving its approach to compliance and risk, with responsibility for areas including national security, export controls and international regulatory requirements. You will provide specialist advice, support the development and review of policies and processes, work with colleagues across the University to identify and manage risks, and help ensure the University meets its legal and regulatory obligations. You will also contribute to reporting, assurance, training and the development of a strong culture of compliance and risk awareness. About You You will have substantial experience in compliance and risk management, with the ability to provide clear advice and work effectively with senior colleagues and a wide range of stakeholders. You will have strong knowledge of relevant regulatory and legislative requirements, with experience in areas such as export controls, national security and other complex regulatory environments. You will be highly organised, analytical and able to manage competing priorities, with excellent communication and influencing skills and experience of developing and delivering training and guidance.
