Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Cook to join a primary school in S12 area. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food and a strong understanding of food safety and hygiene practices. As a Cook, you will play a vital role in meal preparation, ensuring that every dish meets our high standards of quality and presentation. This position requires a commitment to excellence in the kitchen, as well as the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Hours are 9am to 2pm Monday to Friday. Duties Prepare and cook a variety of meals according to established recipes and menus. Ensure all food is prepared in accordance with food safety regulations and hygiene standards. Assist in the planning and preparation of menus, considering dietary restrictions and preferences. Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area, including equipment and utensils. Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely service during busy periods. Monitor stock levels of ingredients and report any shortages to management. Participate in training sessions to enhance culinary skills and knowledge. Experience Previous experience in a kitchen environment or restaurant setting is preferred. Knowledge of food safety practices and regulations is essential. Experience with meal preparation techniques and culinary skills will be advantageous.
