Responsibilities
Be responsible for the day-to-day operations and managerial functions required to deliver a robust and effective front-line service within the Waste and Street Cleansing Services for the London Borough of Enfield.
Proactively manage Supervisors and, directly or indirectly, manage frontline staff to deliver high-quality client and customer service.
Monitor and deliver customer-focused service outcomes, ensuring health and safety and welfare arrangements are in place at all times.
Ensure employees carry out duties in compliance with legal requirements and Council and Service procedures.
Support the Head of Waste and Recycling Services in efficient management and delivery of services and assist with implementation of service changes.
Qualifications and experience
Experience in waste management, ideally within front-line operations, with a track record of managing a large staff in a customer-focused environment.
Excellent interpersonal skills with a passion for the environment.
Good knowledge of waste legislation and Microsoft ICT systems including Excel, Word and Outlook.
