We are seeking a skilled Senior Design Engineer to lead the design and development of innovative products within a highly regulated industry. This role covers the full product lifecycle—from concept through to high-volume manufacturing—while ensuring compliance with relevant standards and internal processes. Responsibilities include creating and maintaining design documentation and usability engineering files for new product developments.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead product design and development projects from initial concept to market release.
• Coordinate design transfer activities between UK operations and manufacturing partners.
• Provide engineering input for change orders and maintain legacy design documentation.
• Conduct verification and validation of components and assemblies, including inspection and testing.
• Record all formal and relevant informal engineering data within the product lifecycle management system.
• Create and modify technical drawings in line with design standards.
• Perform other reasonable duties as requested by management.

Essential Qualifications & Skills:

• Degree in Product Design or Engineering.
• Experience in a design-related role or manufacturing environment.
• Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., Solid Edge or SolidWorks).
• Knowledge of plastics and injection moulding design.
• Strong problem-solving ability and creative application of engineering principles.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines.
• High attention to detail and organizational skills.
