Cluster Meeting & Events Sales manager

Role PurposeThe Cluster Meeting and Sales Manager is responsible for driving the meetings, events, and group sales strategy across a cluster of hotels. The role ensures that each property maximises revenue through effective sales activities, strong client relationships, and seamless delivery of meetings and events. Working closely with the Cluster General Manager, the role contributes to the overall commercial performance of the hotels while ensuring high guest satisfaction and brand standards.Why work for us:Service-based annual leave (increasing up to a maximum of 5 extra days)Employee and Friends/Family discounted rates at Heeton-operated hotels and Hilton GOReferral schemeNumerous voluntary benefits, including buy holiday scheme, Cycle to Work and many moreHeeton is an expanding company which offers excellent career opportunitiesExclusive access to the employee recognition and reward scheme - Heeton RewardsEmployee Assistance Programme, Life Assurance and Income Protection SchemesKey Responsibilities:Sales and Business DevelopmentDevelop and implement a proactive sales strategy to maximise meetings, events, and group business across the cluster.Identify, develop, and maintain relationships with key corporate accounts, agencies, and event organisers.Conduct regular client meetings, sales calls, and hotel site inspections to secure new business and grow repeat accounts.Work with revenue management to optimise pricing, availability, and packages for MICE (Meetings, Incentives, Conferences, and Events) business.Analyse competitor activity and market trends to position the hotels competitively.Event and Meeting ManagementOversee the planning, coordination, and execution of meetings, conferences, and events across cluster properties.Ensure seamless communication between clients and operational teams for successful event delivery.Support hotels with proposals, contracts, and tailored event packages to meet client needs.Ensure post-event follow-up and feedback collection to strengthen client relationships.Financial and Revenue ResponsibilitiesDeliver budgeted revenue and profit targets for meetings, events, and group sales.Prepare monthly sales forecasts, pipelines, and performance reports for review with the Cluster General Manager.Monitor and control departmental expenses in line with budget guidelines.Work with finance to ensure accurate billing and credit control for events.Leadership and CollaborationLead, motivate, and develop the meetings and events sales team (if applicable).Foster a collaborative relationship with the clusters operational, FandB, revenue, and reservations teams.Represent the cluster hotels at trade shows, networking events, and industry forums.Uphold company brand standards and deliver a consistent guest experience across all cluster properties.Skills and QualificationsBachelors degree in Hospitality, Business, or a related field (preferred).Proven track record in hotel sales, preferably in a cluster or multi-property role.Strong knowledge of MICE sales and event management.Excellent negotiation, communication, and presentation skills.Strong financial and analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and drive performance.Ability to lead, inspire, and manage a team across multiple properties.Highly organised, results-driven, and adaptable in a fast-paced environment.Heeton is all about building a workplace for the future, we believe in equal opportunities and celebrate diversity.
