As a Principal Engineer, you will have a significant role in developing business and expanding the practice in this technical and geographic area.You will be responsible for:Identifying, developing, and securing new business opportunities, and promoting Exponent through industry contactsSignificantly contributing to increasing Exponent''s civil and geotechnical engineering consulting effortsProviding strategic consulting and expert witness workBringing advanced and insightful solutions to clients in your recognized areas of expertiseProviding project management and project budget oversightDeveloping and mentoring staff in both technical and business areasYou will have the following skills and qualifications:A degree in Civil Engineering plus experience in civil engineeringSignificant business development experience with a proven track recordAbility to attract projects to support full-time staff and to manage and develop a group of highly motivated individualsExcellent written and verbal communication skills and the ability to work independently or in multidisciplinary teamsA record of professional papers and presentations and a proven record of dedication to quality and accuracyCurrent Licensed or a Chartered Engineer
