Hours: Monday to Friday, 08:00 – 17:00
Call-Out Rota: 1 in 5 (after security clearance)

Overview:
We are currently seeking a qualified and experienced Mechanical Engineer to join a growing team supporting critical infrastructure within police stations across the Isle of Wight. This is a temp-to-perm opportunity offering long-term stability, excellent benefits, and the chance to work in a secure, high-trust environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Carrying out mechanical maintenance and repair works across police buildings

• Responding to emergency call-outs as part of a scheduled rota (1 in 5)

• Working directly alongside police officers and facility teams

• Ensuring all works are compliant with health & safety regulations and mechanical standards

Essential Requirements:

• NVQ Level 2 and 3 or City & Guilds in Mechanical Engineering or Building Services

• Previous experience in mechanical maintenance within commercial or public buildings

• Ability to pass NPPV Level 2 police vetting

• Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain)

• Full UK driving licence
