Mechanical Service EngineerOldbury Monday - Friday 7:30am - 5:00pm Pay rate = D.O.E Temp - Permanent (After 12 successful weeks) We are looking for a practical and motivated Mechanical Service Engineer to join our client''s Hire and Repair team. You will be responsible for servicing, repairing, and maintaining a wide range of small tools, handheld equipment, and petrol/diesel-powered machinery used within the construction industry. This role would suit someone with strong mechanical experience, ideally gained within construction, plant, tool hire, or automotive environments.Key Responsibilities Service, maintain, and repair small tools and handheld equipmentDiagnose faults on petrol and diesel-powered tools and machineryCarry out pre-hire inspections, safety checks, and routine servicingEnsure equipment meets safety and compliance standards prior to hireAccurately record servicing, inspections, and repair workMaintain workshop cleanliness and follow health and safety proceduresSupport the wider team to ensure equipment availability for customersAssist in the warehouse when required Requirements Strong mechanical repair and servicing experienceExperience working with petrol and diesel tools/ enginesExperience with construction equipment, tool hire, plant machinery, or power toolsAbility to diagnose faults and carry out effective repairsHands-on workshop experience with a good understanding of health and safetyElectrical fault finding, tool hire or merchant experience, ..... full job details .....
