HGV Class 1 Driver - New Pass Drivers Welcome

Location: Sittingbourne, Kent
Pay Rate: £16.91 per hour
Enhanced Rates: Weekend & Bank Holiday working available at enhanced rates
Hours: Monday to Friday, 06:00 starts, averaging 10-12 hours per shift

We are currently recruiting HGV Class 1 (Category CE) Drivers to join our clients operation based in Sittingbourne, Kent. This is a fantastic opportunity for both experienced drivers and new pass Class 1 drivers looking to gain valuable experience within a supportive and professional transport team.

As a Class 1 HGV Driver, you'll be responsible for completing deliveries and collections while maintaining high standards of safety, compliance, and customer service. The role offers regular daytime work with 06:00 start times and average shifts of 10-12 hours.

Key Responsibilities

• Driving a Class 1 (Category CE) vehicle
  
  
• Completing daily vehicle safety inspections
  
  
• Carrying out deliveries and collections efficiently and professionally
  
  
• Following planned routes and schedules
  
  
• Ensuring compliance with Driver CPC, Working Time Directive and Drivers' Hours regulations
  
  
• Completing delivery paperwork and Proof of Delivery documentation
  
  
• Representing the company professionally at customer sites
  
  

Essential Requirements

• Valid HGV Class 1 / LGV Class 1 / Category CE Licence
  
  
• Driver CPC Qualification Card
  
  
• Digital Tachograph Card
  
  
• Good knowledge of transport legislation and road safety
  
  
• Strong communication skills and a professional attitude
  
  
• Reliable and customer-focused approach
