Senior Events Officer (Conference and Events) – NASUWT, Birmingham, England, United Kingdom.Responsibilities

Lead on the planning, delivery, and evaluation of high-profile conferences and events, ensuring delegates, sponsors, and partners receive the best possible experience.Manage all aspects of event logistics, including venue and supplier negotiations, catering, AV, staging, accommodation, and delegate registration.On the day, take charge of set-up and breakdown, problem-solving, and liaising with contractors, colleagues, and stakeholders to ensure everything runs smoothly.Work closely with the Conferences and Events Manager and deputise in their absence; oversee budgets and embed sustainability into event planning.Support the use of event technology, contribute to promotional campaigns, and provide post-event evaluation and reporting.Qualifications

Strong project management, organisational, and communication skills.Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines under pressure.Experience negotiating with suppliers and managing budgets.Confidence using IT systems and event management software.A flexible and proactive approach, with a focus on excellent customer service.Benefits and Conditions

Salary £40,448 rising to £46,044; 35 hours per week (including some weekends and evenings, so flexibility is essential); 49 days leave inclusive of closure days and public holidays; Based in Rednal, Birmingham.All NASUWT employees receive an excellent benefits package.Application Details
