Severe SEN Tutor (Specialist Home-Based Support)Southampton Area Needed. We are looking for a compassionate, resilient, and highly experienced Severe SEN Tutor to provide specialist one-to-one support for students with complex additional needs in their homes. This role is suited to someone with a strong background in supporting children and young people with severe learning difficulties and complex behavioural, communication, or sensory needs.Role ResponsibilitiesDeliver personalised and engaging one-to-one sessions tailored to each student''s individual needs and abilitiesSupport students with severe and complex SEN, including ASD, PMLD, SLD, SEMH, ADHD, non-verbal communication needs, and challenging behavioursWork in line with Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs), implementing targets and specialist strategiesAdapt teaching methods, communication styles, and resources to meet sensory and emotional needsBuild positive, trusting relationships with students and familiesEncourage engagement, confidence, independence, and emotional regulationProvide progress updates and session feedback where requiredDeliver face-to-face support within students'' homesRequirementsMinimum 2 years'' experience working with children or young people with severe or complex SENExperience supporting students with EHCPs is essentialStrong understanding of behaviour management, emotional regulation, and differentiated learning approachesConfident managing challenging behaviours and working ..... full job details .....
