Job Overview At Ametis Homes, we are searching for dedicated, skilled, and compassionate Residential Support Workers.As a Residential Support Worker, you will play a key role in supporting the daily lives of children and young people living in our care. You will provide emotional and practical support, build trusting relationships, and help promote routines that encourage personal growth and independence. Responsibilities Support young people with daily routines, including personal care, meal preparation, and household tasks Implement care plans, behaviour strategies, and safeguarding procedures Maintain clear and accurate records (e.g. logs, reports, incidents) Assist children in educational activities and recreational pursuits, promoting their development and social skills. Drive individuals to appointments or community activities as required. Build positive, trusting relationships with children and act as a positive role model Promote independence, resilience, and positive self-esteem in all children Participate in sleep-in shifts and contribute to the warm, homely environment Skills A passion for working with vulnerable children Ability to remain calm under pressure and respond appropriately to challenging behaviour Good written and verbal communication skills Ability to follow care plans with attention to detail.
