Estimator – High-End Construction Projects – Exeter – Permanent

We are representing a highly respected, forward-thinking main contractor based in Exeter who are looking to appoint an Estimator on a permanent basis.

The Role

As Estimator, you will play a key part in the pre-construction team, preparing accurate and competitive tenders for a variety of high-end commercial, and bespoke projects. You will work closely with the directors and project delivery teams, contributing your expertise to secure new work and ensure continued excellence.

Key responsibilities include:

- Preparing detailed cost estimates and tender submissions.
- Evaluating drawings, specifications, and contract documents.
- Liaising with clients, consultants, and supply chain partners to clarify requirements.
- Identifying risks and opportunities to add value.
- Supporting value engineering and design development processes.

The Person

We are looking for someone who:

- Has experience estimating for main contractor or high-end specialist projects.
- Understands the unique demands of delivering premium-quality, bespoke schemes.
- Has excellent communication and organisational skills.
- Works proactively, with a keen eye for detail and commercial awareness.

A background in high-end commercial, heritage, or similarly detail-orientated sectors would be advantageous.
