Hampshire County Council is seeking an experienced and motivated Social Worker to join its Safeguarding Team on a locum basis. • Manage a caseload of children subject to Child Protection and Child in Need plans
• Undertake Section 47 investigations and safeguarding enquiries
• Complete statutory visits, assessments, and care planning within required timescales
• Prepare detailed reports for child protection conferences and court proceedings
• Work collaboratively with multi-agency partners to safeguard children
• Maintain accurate and timely case recording in line with statutory guidance

• Qualified Social Worker with Social Work England registration
• Experience within Safeguarding / Child Protection teams
• Strong knowledge of child protection legislation and statutory frameworks
• Ability to manage complex cases and make sound risk-based decisions
• Strong communication and multi-agency working skills

• £38 per hour competitive locum rate
• Hybrid working – 3 days per week in the office
