- Salary: -90 - 110 per day, dependant on experience
- Temporary, ongoing Contract
- Full Time Vacancy (8:30am - 4pm, Monday to Friday)
SEN Teaching Assistant Specification
We are currently seeking a motivated SEN Teaching Assistant for a full-time job in a mainstream school in South Birmingham. This is working with primary aged children with additional needs.
To be considered you must have a passion for supporting SEND learners and have an expert knowledge of the school curriculum, along with and having a caring and nurturing approach to your work.
- You must be a qualified SEN Teaching Assistant (level 2 or 3 minimum)
- Have a excellent knowledge of the UK SEND system
- Have worked with SEMH/SEBD/ADHD/ASD
- Be able to nurture and support young children with SEND
- Ideally have worked at least 12 months within Special Needs
- Safeguarding level 1 trained
- Dedicated to supporting young SEND learners
The school is looking for an SEN Teaching Assistant
This is a great primary school who are seeking a strong member of staff to nurture and assist their sen learners. As such they need a strong member of staff who can build rapport and work with the students. They are seeking a candidate with strong knowledge and experience in supporting students with these specific needs.
You will need to have good behaviour management skills, and able to build rapport with challenging learners, however the right candidate will be able to build up great working relationships and enjoy the reward of this.
The ideal candidate will be proactive, engaging, and passionate about working with children. As a specialist SEND setting, it''s essential that you are both professional and diligent, as you will be working independently with pupils who have a wide range of abilities and requirements.
