We have a fantastic opportunity for a permanent Ganger to join our team in Area 7 at Leicester Forest East (LE33GA) This position offers a competitive salary and overtime. The standard hours of work are 45 hours per week, rotating days/nights and typically 1 week of days then, 1 week of nights. Day shifts are 8hrs, night shifts are 10hrs. What You''ll Do: Maintain high technical standards and solutions Attend project briefings as required Ensure compliance with relevant health and safety legislation throughout team at all times and ensure works are carried out as per relevant VRS specification Manage and mentor apprentices and operatives and coordinate the work of others as necessary To be responsible for the security of vehicles/plant and materials under their direct control and to plan work and estimate vehicle/plant and material requirements. This role will specialise in Vehicle Restraint Systems but experience with drainage, kerbing, fencing, walling, sweeping, signing, patching, traffic management, soft estates work will be an advantage To drive/operate vehicles/plant requiring general and specialist skills including vehicle checks, routine maintenance, (e.g. oil and water checks etc.) and cleaning. To keep records, complete all necessary paperwork, communicate and liaise with other employees of Amey, sub-contractors, the emergency services, the police, the general public, clients and customers.
