This is a pivotal role within the team, combining hands-on support with leadership responsibilities to ensure consistent, high-quality care and a safe, nurturing environment.Key Duties and Responsibilities

Lead by example

as the designated Shift Leader, promoting consistency and best practice across all aspects of care.Build strong, trusting relationships

with young people through daily routines, offering emotional support and promoting healthy attachments.Provide guidance and mentorship

to junior staff, supporting their development and ensuring high standards of practice.Respond calmly and appropriately

to challenging behaviour using a trauma-informed, child-centred approach.Collaborate with professionals

including social workers, healthcare providers, and educators to support each child’s holistic development.Keep clear and detailed records , including daily logs, incident reports, and care plans, in line with safeguarding and regulatory standards.Contribute to care planning

and help facilitate transitions in and out of the home.Take part in the on-call rota , offering advice or in-person support when required.Support day-to-day running

of the home through domestic tasks and meal preparation, ensuring a clean, safe, and homely environment.Champion education and enrichment , helping children to access learning opportunities and engage in meaningful activities.What We’re Looking For
