The Account Director is the owner of excellent service of commercial 360 campaigns from pitch to completion to a designated set of priority clients based outside the UK. The Account Director is responsible for the campaign strategy proposed to support the creative idea and brief as well as overseeing the whole campaign execution and activation. The Account Director oversees all client activity and is the key responsibility holder for all operational stakeholders for commercial campaigns. The Account Director is the expert and strategic owner of an assigned international patch outside the UK, always ensuring best in class service to our commercial partners abroad.Main Duties
Define, challenge and drive strategy of assigned international sales and client patch to (over-)deliver expected targets through (pro-)active initiatives, including tailored packages to support simplified selling, negotiations to establish best possible solutions for clients (e.g. innovation, adjusted rates, AV, access to editorial/events).Act as key point of contact for all commercial operations teams and queries, challenging the status quo to drive efficiencies and ensure revenue and servicing expectations are met for both Hearst and clients.Identify ways to diversify revenue for assigned clients within vertical/patch and drive innovation on all commercial levels in partnership with other Hearst stakeholders.Analyze market behaviour of the assigned client patch to identify opportunities in collaboration with sales teams for full awareness and competitor reviews.Analyse and interrogate client briefs to identify best possible response and drive all following activity by leading on briefing in relevant teams, contributing to responses. Workflow varies by brief, from a top-line budget feasibility overview to full collaboration with Creative Strategist and with Operational/Production teams for a detailed media plan.Build key relationships with sales teams and clients abroad, acting as partner to sales to secure business and ensure high servicing standards.Problem-solving: deliver solutions to ad hoc challenges to protect revenue and maintain client satisfaction while guaranteeing success to Hearst.Work with relevant Hearst stakeholders to preserve commercial profitability while negotiating effective creative responses to meet advertiser needs.Own holistic operational strategy and internal communication with required stakeholders (lead internal communication with creative strategy, data teams, research teams, paid media, technical account management, media planning, project management, production teams and others).End-to-end overview of all stages within a partnership (pre- to post-sales) as the primary operational representative, supporting other stakeholders to ensure smooth delivery.Have thorough, 360-degree knowledge of the Hearst suite of products and the objectives they help achieve. Track and review relevant editorial activity to bring proactive opportunities to clients and strengthen brief responses.Act as an influential leader within the Intl Revenue team, modelling behaviour as an ambassador across the business.Own the process of chasing and receiving accurate IOs or formal commitments, ensuring projects are set up and invoiced correctly, aligned to the phasing plan.Oversee delivery and reporting, communicating performance to external contacts and collecting relevant information from delivery teams.Create a Post-Campaign Analysis deck for relevant projects, telling the campaign narrative and provoking future advertiser spend while addressing any process or creative notes.You may be required to undertake further duties as your skills and experience allow or as assigned.What We Are Looking For
