Tradewind Recruitment are seeking a dedicated and resilient 1:1 Teaching Assistant to support a pupil in a welcoming primary school in Bury. This is a full-time role working closely with a child who is currently displaying signs of challenging behaviour and requires consistent, structured support to help them engage positively with learning.The successful candidate will work alongside the class teacher and SENCO to provide tailored support that promotes emotional regulation, positive behaviour, and access to the curriculum. This is a rewarding opportunity for someone who is patient, calm under pressure, and passionate about helping children overcome barriers to learning.Key Responsibilities:Provide 1:1 support for a pupil who requires additional behavioural and emotional support.Implement behaviour strategies and support plans set by the school.Help the child remain engaged in classroom activities and routines.Support the development of social skills, emotional regulation, and positive behaviour.Work collaboratively with teaching staff, SENCO, and external professionals where required.Record and report on progress, behaviour, and engagement.The Ideal Candidate Will Have:Experience working with children in a primary school or SEND setting.Confidence supporting pupils with challenging behaviour or social, emotional and mental health (SEMH) needs.A calm, patient and resilient approach.Strong communication and teamwork skills.A genuine passion for supporting children''s ..... full job details .....
