At Visa and Featurespace, we focus on protecting our clients and their customers from fraud. This role is part of a team delivering end-to-end analytic products within our Solutions, including data schemas, advanced statistical models, reporting configuration, and documentation. You will collaborate with commercial, product, delivery, and engineering teams to uncover opportunities and develop products.The Opportunity

As a Data Scientist you will help us achieve our goals and deliver success on behalf of our customers by developing and maintaining analytic products. You will work across the organisation to uncover opportunities, share insights, and contribute to product development.Responsibilities

Interacting with internal and external users to understand problems and share insights with the teamCollaborating with Product Managers and others to prioritise high-value itemsIdentifying risks and testing assumptions before developmentEnd-to-end processing and modelling of large customer data setsDeploying and maintaining statistical models and algorithmsTesting analytical models and their integration within the Featurespace platformsEnsuring high-quality documentation for analytics products (reports, presentations, visualisations)Measuring, documenting, and improving outcomes of analytic productsSupporting delivery teams delivering analytic productsCommunicating insights to both technical and non-technical colleaguesImproving team processes and contributing to future team strategyMentoring junior team members and prioritising workload to ensure high-quality outputDeveloping a solid understanding of the fraud and financial crime industriesThis is a hybrid position with a requirement to attend the office 3 days a week.Qualifications

Must havesGood degree in a scientific or numerate discipline (e.g., Computer Science, Physics, Mathematics, Engineering) or equivalent work experienceExperience implementing statistical models and analytics algorithms in softwareExperience using Python, Java, or another major programming language for data analysis, machine learning, or algorithm developmentTechnical and analytical skills with the ability to learn new technologies quicklyProblem-solving skills in data-centric applicationsStrong written and verbal communication skillsAbility to manage and prioritise personal workloadPractical experience handling and mining large, diverse data setsExperience collaborating with multiple stakeholders on technical projectsAdditional InformationVisa is an EEO Employer.
