Overview:

Unify are thrilled to be recruiting for a Mobile Mechanic to work with a national fleet maintnence company. The position covers both on-site responsibilities and mobile support, delivering maintenance to keep vehicles safe, compliant and in peak operating condition.

What do I need?

• Proven track record in HGV/LGV maintenance and repair (minimum 3 years)
• Ability to demonstrate strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills
• Competence in both planned and reactive maintenance environments

Responsibilities:

• Carry out planned servicing and preventative maintenance on commercial vehicles
• Diagnose mechanical issues and resolve faults quickly and effectively
• Remove, repair, and replace defective vehicle parts when necessary
• Prepare vehicles for roadworthiness inspections and MOT compliance
• Accurately complete service records, job sheets, and related documentation
• Liaise with parts departments to ensure timely ordering and stock availability
• Highlight any repair needs requiring specialist external attention
• Coordinate with operations teams to arrange vehicle service schedules
• Work through service checklists methodically and efficiently
