Location: Sheffield Salary: £35,000-£40,000 per annum Hours: Monday-Friday, 07:00-17:00 (occasional Saturdays) Holiday: 28 days including bank holidays We are recruiting for a skilled Plant Fitter to join a busy workshop team based in Sheffield, supporting a respected provider of waste management and recycling services. The successful candidate will work on a wide range of plant and machinery used across the waste, recycling and bulk handling operations, ensuring equipment is maintained to high standards of performance and safety. Key Responsibilities Perform routine and breakdown maintenance on plant machinery and equipmentDiagnose mechanical, electrical, hydraulic and pneumatic faultsCarry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and inspectionsEnsure plant and machinery meets safety and compliance standardsComplete accurate documentation, reports and job cardsWork within a busy workshop following safe systems of workSupport depot operations to minimise downtime and maximise fleet availability Requirements Proven experience as a Plant Fitter, Mechanical Engineer, or similar roleStrong mechanical and electrical fault diagnosis skillsExperience working on heavy plant, construction equipment or similar machineryAbility to prioritise work, problem solve and work independentlyGood communication skills and professional attitudeComfortable following health and safety, compliance and workshop procedures Salary and Benefits Competitive salary: £35,000-£40,000 per ..... full job details .....
