Music Teacher - Independent School

Part-Time (3 Days per Week) | Faringdon, Oxfordshire | September 2026

Simply Education is delighted to be recruiting on behalf of a prestigious independent school in Faringdon, Oxfordshire, for an inspiring and enthusiastic Music Teacher.

This is a fantastic opportunity to join a well-established and highly regarded independent school with a thriving Music Department. Working three days per week (Monday, Tuesday and Thursday), you''ll teach Music across the Middle, Upper and Senior School while contributing to an extensive programme of concerts, performances and extracurricular music.

This is a fixed-term contract for one academic year, starting in September 2026.

As Music Teacher, you will:

• Teach engaging Music lessons across Middle, Upper and Senior School.
• Work 3 days per week - Monday, Tuesday and Thursday.
• Inspire pupils of all abilities through creative and engaging teaching.
• Accompany rehearsals, concerts and performances where required.
• Support pupils preparing for performances and external music examinations.
• Contribute to the school''s rich extracurricular music programme.
• Work closely with the Director of Music and visiting instrumental teachers.

You will have:

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent teaching qualification.
• Experience teaching Music within a secondary or independent school.
• Excellent classroom management skills.
• Strong piano and accompanying skills are highly desirable.
• A passion for music education and performance.
• The ability to inspire and motivate young musicians.
• A collaborative and enthusiastic approach.
