Interim Director of Corporate Governance (Band 9)Contract: Interim 6-12 monthsBand: 9Location: London / South EastAbout the roleWe''re looking for an exceptional senior leader to provide strategic corporate governance leadership and act as principal adviser to the Board and Executive Directors. You''ll work closely with the Chair and Chief Executive, ensure the highest standards of governance, and manage the interface between the Board and key stakeholders. You''ll also lead the corporate governance team, including secretariat support to Board Committees and the Executive Leadership Team. This role also supports system-wide governance and the Trust''s work within provider collaborative arrangements, ensuring clear and effective governance processes across joint committees. Key responsibilitiesLead and maintain the Trust''s corporate governance framework and ensure compliance with statutory/regulatory requirements. Provide "wise counsel" to the Chair/CEO/Board, guiding effective Board decision-making and standards of integrity. Lead on the design and implementation of the Board Assurance Framework (BAF) and support governance reporting (including Annual Governance Statement/Annual Report). Ensure Board/Committee business is properly managed: agendas, papers, minutes, actions, and best-practice record keeping.
