About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Civils Operative to join our team working within the water treatment sector. The successful candidate will support the delivery of infrastructure and maintenance works across water and wastewater treatment sites, ensuring projects are completed safely, efficiently, and to a high standard.
 
Key Responsibilities

• Carry out a range of civil engineering tasks including excavation, drainage, concreting, and reinstatement works
• Install pipework, ducting, and chambers
• Work on water and wastewater treatment sites, adhering to all safety and environmental standards
• Operate plant and equipment (where qualified), including dumpers and rollers
• Read and interpret site drawings and specifications
• Assist with site set-up, traffic management, and site clearance
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organised working environment
• Report progress, issues, and incidents to supervisors

 
Requirements Essential:

• Proven experience in civil engineering or groundworks
• Experience working on utilities, water, or infrastructure projects
• Valid CSCS card
• Full UK driving licence
• Good understanding of health & safety practices

 
Tickets & Certifications The following tickets are desirable but not essential. Candidates without all certifications are still encouraged to apply:

• CSCS Card
• Ride On Roller (CPCS/NPORS)
• Forward Tipping Dumper (CPCS/NPORS)
• CAT & Genny (Cable Avoidance Tool)

Training and upskilling may be provided for the right candidate.
