TEMPORARY ELECTRICIAN - College Role: ElectricianContract: Temporary (3-6 months, extension possible)Hours: 39 hours per weekLocation: Reading Pay: £22-£25 per hour (umbrella)About the RoleWe are seeking a qualified and experienced Electrician to support a busy Estates and Works team on a temporary basis. You will be responsible for ensuring the safe operation, maintenance, repair and inspection of electrical systems across the site, responding to reactive tasks and supporting wider maintenance activities.Key Responsibilities- Inspect, maintain and repair electrical systems, wiring, fixtures and appliances- Replace lighting, power, heating/ventilation controls, lamps/LEDs, sports lighting and car park systems- Conduct and record emergency lighting tests- Diagnose electrical faults and complete repairs efficiently- Install and repair electrical appliances- Support improvement and upgrade projects- Assist with general maintenance tasks across Estates/Works- Undertake manual duties including lifting, moving materials, basic carpentry, painting and grounds workEssential Requirements- NVQ Level 3 / City and Guilds or equivalent- 18th Edition (City and Guilds 2382-22)- Experience in installation, testing, maintenance and repair of electrical systems- Strong knowledge of Health and Safety compliance- Ability to prioritise workload and work effectively within a team- Physically fit and able to undertake manual handling tasks- Full UK driving licence and transport- Right to work in ..... full job details .....
