We’re working with a respected residential developer who are seeking an experienced Technical Manager to lead the technical function on large-scale housing projects.

This is a site-based role with only occasional office attendance (no more than once a week) , offering the chance to take real ownership of developments from feasibility through to completion.Base pay

You’ll oversee all technical aspects of residential schemes, from land acquisition and planning through to build and handover. Managing both in-house teams and external consultants, you’ll ensure designs are compliant, practical and cost-effective. The role also includes discharging planning conditions, managing statutory approvals, and ensuring compliance with Building Regulations, CDM and warranty providers.Responsibilities

Oversee design coordination, working drawings and Building Regulation approvalsDeliver value engineering, innovation and cost efficiency across projectsManage consultant procurement and oversee external consultants and contractorsEnsure timely discharge of planning conditions, s106 obligations and statutory approvalsSupport sales and marketing with accurate technical informationManage delivery of OandM manuals, Golden Thread information and smooth project handoversProvide proactive technical support, resolving issues quickly and effectivelyRequirements

Proven experience as a Technical Manager, or a Senior Technical Coordinator ready to step upStrong knowledge of residential design, planning, engineering and constructionExperience of complex or high-risk schemes desirableProficiency with Microsoft 365 and AutoCAD/RevitStrong leadership, organisational and problem-solving skillsSalary up to £85,000 + car allowance + bonus25 days holiday (increasing with service) plus bank holidaysPrivate medical insurance and wellbeing supportPension scheme, life assurance and lifestyle discountsVolunteering days and clear career progression opportunitiesSeniority level
