Experienced Paralegal

to join a successful Real Estate department in their Brighton office. You will be joining a busy, diverse and proactive team, supporting an experienced fee-earner and dealing with high quality work. You should be keen to take on a challenging and varied role, with strong prospects for advancement in due course.Responsibilities

Assisting in the running of live filesSupporting your supervisor in all aspects of conveyancing transactions, from instructions through to post completionLiaising with all parties and providing administrative and legal assistance throughout the conveyancing processFile opening and AML complianceDealing with administrative exchange formalities completion and post completion tasksPreparing reports on title, mortgages and searches (with supervision)Raising and reviewing enquiries on title and contract packs, searches and surveys (with supervision)Liaising with clients, agents, lenders and other solicitors to progress transactionsDrafting financial statements and invoicesGeneral administration tasks and the updating of internal and external systemsClient contact, with supervisionQualifications

Previous paralegal or fee-earning conveyancing experience in a legal environment is required and you should ideally also have relevant legal qualifications. The firm do however offer support for different routes to qualification, if successful.Required Skills

Good understanding of the conveyancing process from instruction to completionPractical experience in raising enquiries, reviewing replies and report drafting (under supervision)Confidence and competence to work to timescalesAbility to use your initiativeCommercially awareGood inter-personal skillsTeam approach and flexibility
