Year 3 Teaching Assistant - Primary School in Islington

A friendly and inclusive primary school in Islington is looking for an experienced and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to support a Year 3 class from 1st September 2025. This is a full-time, long-term position running for the entire academic year until July 2026.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a Teaching Assistant who is confident supporting learning in lower Key Stage 2 and is passionate about helping children thrive academically, socially, and emotionally.

Key Information:

• Start Date: 1st September 2025

• Location: Islington

• Role: Full-time, Monday to Friday

• Hours: 08:30am - 3:45pm

• Pay: -95105 per day (PAYE)

• Contract: Long-term until July 2026

As a Year 3 Teaching Assistant, You Will:

• Support the class teacher with day-to-day classroom duties

• Provide small group and 1:1 support for pupils in Year 3

• Help manage classroom behaviour and routines

• Support children with additional needs and SEND, ensuring they are fully included in lessons

• Assist with the preparation of learning materials and classroom resources

The Ideal Teaching Assistant Will Have:

• Previous experience working in a Teaching Assistant role within a primary school

• Strong behaviour management skills and a calm, consistent approach

• Experience supporting children with SEND and additional needs

• A genuine passion for education and child development

This role is ideal for a proactive and committed Teaching Assistant who enjoys working with KS2 children and is looking to make a real impact in a supportive school environment.
