Quantity Surveyor

We have an excellent opportunity for a Quantity Surveyor to join a leading tier 1 main contractor based in Basingstoke. The business unit undertakes projects within the public sector, with lots of defence, MOJ and blue light projects across the South of Engalnd. Projects vary in value from smaller works (-50k - -2mil) up to -30mil. Projects are a mix of JCT and NEC forms of contract, and are often directly awarded.

As a result of a busy upcoming pipeline of work, they''re now looking for a Quantity Surveyor to join the team.

About the role of Quantity Surveyor:

As Quantity Surveyor, you will be responsible for managing projects from pre-construction through to final account, reporting into the Commercial Manager.

Key Responsibilities as Quantity Surveyor:

• Be involved in 2-stage tenders
• Sub-contract procurement
• Manage sub-contractors accounts on site, dealing with variations
• Deal with final accounts

Key requirements for this Quantity Surveyor role:

• Construction related HNC / Degree
• Experience working within a main contractor
• Experience administering JCT forms of contract
• Must live within a commutable distance to Basingstoke

Please note, this role requires the successful candidate to be a British national due to the nature of the workload and necessary clearance.
