As part of this role, you will be responsible for working with the Divisional Manager to support the maintenance of the LMCB building, research facilities and equipment. Duties and Responsibilities Lead health and safety for the department, including statutory inspections, training, and documentationManage the ACDP Category 2 virus lab facility and ensure regulatory complianceOversee the maintenance and servicing of core laboratory equipmentManage laboratory infrastructure and space planningLead a small technical team, including two Technicians and a Stores OfficerProcure lab equipment and negotiate contracts for repairs and maintenanceLiaise with Estates, Security, and UCL''s central services as the primary point of contactSupport sustainability initiatives in collaboration with the Green TeamExperience and QualificationsQualification at Level 6: HND or bachelor degree in relevant subject or equivalent experienceExperience of working in a biological science research laboratoryKnowledge of health and safety issues relevant to working in a biological science laboratory environmentExperience in use and maintenance of common items of laboratory equipment e.g. incubators, safety cabinets, centrifuges, autoclaves and cryobanksExperience of working with building ..... full job details .....
