Installation/Cabling Engineer (Data Centre/SC Clearance) - Berkshire - Short Term contract - £competitive Synergize Consulting are now hiring for a Cabling Engineer to work at a leading consultancy client of ours on a short-term contract basis. The successful candidate will provide a high level of support to the running of a large data centre and will ensure that services are fully operational and are protected and secure. This piece of work takes place across three sites in Berkshire, Hampshire and Wiltshire and is due to start in late June. Responsibilities include: - Physical racking and installation of cables, and replacement of existing cables where required - Manage data centre capacity, including airflow and power analysis, and identifies and implements efficiency improvements where required. - Labelling cables and networks where required - Conducting regular IT asset audits to uphold data accuracy and compliance. - Validating technical designs to ensure safe housing and supportability. - Providing general technical expertise to all parties operating within the data centre estate.
