Job Title: Electrical Design EngineerJob DescriptionWe are seeking an Electrical Design Engineer specialising in site surveys. The role involves working within substations focusing on both AC and DC power systems and conducting site surveys across substations and powerline infrastructure to ensure compliance with relevant standards and project requirements. You will review electrical schematics, drawing and documentation while providing accurate survey outputs to support ongoing transmission network upgrades. This will be a 3 month rolling contract.ResponsibilitiesConduct detailed site surveys for electrical design within substations.Focus on both AC and DC power systems during surveys.Complete one site survey per week, typically taking 2-3 days.Review and interpret electrical schematics, drawings, and technical documentationProduce survey reports and design-related documentation following site visitsTravel to various sites across Central UK, with occasional trips to northern and southern locations.RequirementsFull UK driving license, own vehicle, and willingness to travel to various sites across central UK.Proven experience in electrical engineering and design.Familiarity with AC and DC power systems.Ability to conduct thorough site surveys.Understanding of CDM 2015 regulations.Work EnvironmentThe position requires travel to various sites across Central UK, with expenses covered.
