Role: Research Finance Officer (Post-Award) Location: LondonContract: 6 monthsDay rate: 230- 245 per day, depending on experience The Opportunity We are currently recruiting an experienced Research Finance Officer to join a busy university Research Finance team on a temporary basis. This is an excellent opportunity for a research finance professional with strong post-award experience to take ownership of a complex portfolio of research grants, supporting effective financial management, accurate reporting and compliance with funder requirements. Working in a fast-paced and evolving environment, you will play a key role in overseeing grant finances, resolving financial discrepancies and ensuring projects are managed effectively throughout their lifecycle. Key ResponsibilitiesManage the financial administration of a portfolio of complex research grants.Set up and close research projects using Agresso (Unit4).Prepare and post correcting journals to ensure financial accuracy.Calculate and post overheads for charity-funded and Full Economic Costing (FEC) grants.Reconcile research projects, investigate discrepancies and resolve outstanding issues.Raise invoices and prepare accurate financial reports for funders.Monitor grant expenditure and ensure financial information is accurate and up to date.Manage competing priorities and meet strict reporting deadlines.Work proactively to identify and resolve issues, escalating where appropriate.Support effective financial control and ..... full job details .....
