Assembly Team Leader

Full-time | Permanent Rotating shifts ( Days - Afters -Nights)

£14-£15 with shift allowance

Laser Expertise is looking for an experienced and reliable Assembly Team Leader to lead our busy Assembly department.

This is a hands-on position, so you will work alongside the team while ensuring jobs are completed safely, correctly and on time.

Main responsibilities:

• Lead and support the Assembly team.
• Allocate daily workloads and monitor progress.
• Assemble fabricated metal components using hand and power tools.
• Read and work from engineering drawings.
• Check completed work meets the required quality standards.
• Help train and support new and existing team members.
• Identify and report any production or quality issues.
• Ensure the department remains clean, organised and safe.
• Work with other departments to meet production deadlines.

The ideal candidate will have:

• Previous assembly experience within manufacturing or engineering.
• Experience leading or supervising a small team.
• The ability to read basic engineering drawings.
• Experience using hand and power tools.
• Good attention to detail.
• Strong communication and organisational skills.
• A practical, hands-on approach.
• A positive and reliable attitude.

Previous experience assembling sheet metal or fabricated products would be an advantage.
