Lead Technology Consultants

who will play central roles in the successful delivery of technology and digital transformation projects. You will work closely with clients and internal teams to understand context, co-design solutions, and lead multidisciplinary teams through implementation. This role involves guiding clients through complex digital transformations by delivering high-level strategic advice, technical architecture, and impactful solutions tailored to meet their business objectives. You will be accountable for running workstreams, advising clients on technology strategy, carrying out research, relaying your findings through reports and diagrams, translating insights into architecture, and making recommendations. This role involves translating business needs into technical strategies, creating architecture artefacts, and supporting clients to make sustainable and user-focused technology choices. Throughout, you will highlight how technology choices can impact people, processes and budgets. You\''ll operate as a trusted advisor, often leading smaller engagements or playing a senior role on larger ones, but may also work solo or contribute as a member of a team as needed. You will be the source of technical oversight and advice for the wider team and for the client. You will also support the development of junior colleagues while contributing to practice improvement and business development. We actively encourage applications from women, disabled, Black, Asian, and Minority Ethnic candidates and historically under-represented groups.ResponsibilitiesLead project workstreams or small/medium client engagements in technology and digital transformation engagements.Lead the design and implementation of technology, digital and data strategies that enhance business outcomes.Collaborate with client teams to align technical solutions with organisational strategies and user needs.Analyse client technology environments, document current-state architecture, understand and interpret user needs and produce strategic recommendations.Design future-state solution and enterprise architectures and IT operating models.Create artefacts such as technology roadmaps, options appraisals, and architecture diagrams.Advising on AI adoption, assessing AI readiness and defining appropriate operating models and assurance frameworks for AI development, deployment and usageFacilitate workshops and discovery sessions with clients and users.Communicate complex technical information to non-technical stakeholders.Mentor and develop more junior consultants and contribute to internal learning. Line management of 0-2 other consultants, dependent on business need.Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams across design, data, and delivery.Input into bids and proposals with a focus on technology content.Provide thought leadership and contribute to business development and marketing activities.Maintain a strong understanding of emerging trends and technologies.Contribute to the continual development of our technology and data practice.Develop and maintain strong client relationships, building trust with senior stakeholders.About YouEssentialStrong experience in technology consulting or IT architecture roles on complex digital transformation programmes.Knowledge of enterprise architecture including common enterprise IT landscapes, software engineering methods, data and cloud platforms, and experience developing future state architecturesProven ability to work with stakeholders at multiple levels across organisationsUnderstanding of concepts and principles across information technology, enterprise architecture, software, data, infrastructure, and cybersecurityExperience defining technical and functional requirements, and guiding the prioritisation of requirementsExperience of communicating technical concepts and recommendations to both technical and non-technical audiencesExperience developing and reviewing architecture artefacts.Experience facilitating workshops, interviews, or training with business usersExperience delivering projects in a consultancy environmentExperience advising on the governance of IT servicesExperience designing, implementing, or evaluating strategies, with the ability to anticipate and plan for future challengesExperience analysing IT system capabilities, evaluating products, and engaging technology suppliers during or before procurement processesExperience in multiple parts of the product life cycle and understanding appropriate activities at each stage.Champion of user needs and user research in the context of technology strategyCommitted to personal and professional development, staying abreast of industry trends.A technology and platform agnostic perspective.Strong verbal and written communication skills.DesirableExperience working in diverse, remote, and multi-disciplinary teamsExperience with agile methodologiesExperience working in or with public sector organisationsAbout The ProcessTo ApplyIf you would like to express interest in this role, please apply by submitting your CV and a cover letter max 2 pages highlighting your relevant experience against the essential requirements for the role.Deadline for applications:
