Thrive Personnel Ltd are recruiting a Materials \planner on behalf of our food manufacturing client based in South Elmsall. The Raw Materials Planner is responsible for producing clear, accurate, and concise raw material production plans for their allocated protein category. The role requires responding proactively to logistical challenges and evolving production requirements to ensure that production targets are consistently achieved while minimising waste and losses. Key Responsibilities The Raw Materials Planner will oversee the planning function for their allocated protein, ensuring that both fresh and frozen raw materials are ordered in line with production requirements. This includes processing requests for increases or decreases in material volumes in a timely and efficient manner, while maintaining strong communication with suppliers and internal stakeholders. The role involves identifying and communicating any supply shortages or intake issues that may impact production. Where raw materials require dicing, the Planner will coordinate the blast freezing process with relevant stakeholders both on and off site, ensuring materials are frozen appropriately and available when required. Detailed production plans must be provided to facilitate the timely dicing of frozen materials and maintain operational flow.
