Contentful is building the future of its EMEA sales engine—and we’re looking for a high-impact Director of Inside Sales to lead a newly formed team of early-career Account Executives (AEs), mainly promoted from within our BDR ranks.
This is a unique opportunity to shape the next generation of Contentful sales talent. You’ll manage and develop a group of ambitious, coachable AEs in their first full-cycle sales roles, helping them grow from opportunity creators to full lifecycle AE’s. The team will be based in our London office, working side-by-side with Marketing, Sales Ops, SE, Leadership and senior AE teams to accelerate learning, pipeline velocity, and performance.
What to expect?
Lead a team of newly promoted Account Executives focused on sub $100m revenue organisations and their opportunities.Provide every day real-time coaching, feedback, and structured development to build full-cycle selling confidence and skill.Implement repeatable sales processes, including qualification frameworks and value-based selling techniques based around MEDDPICC and actively coach against these scoring methodologiesOwn team pipeline, forecasting, and performance against quota while coaching the team to become proficient at these skills.Collaborate closely with BDR leadership, Marketing,senior sales stakeholders and other parts of Contentful to align on pipeline strategy and progression.Promote a high-performance, growth-oriented team culture where learning and results go hand-in-hand with collaboration and support.
This team will be fully based in our London office, working shoulder-to-shoulder with peers, leadership, and cross-functional teams. Co-location enables:

What You Need To Be Successful
5+ years of sales experience, including leadership of inside sales or full-cycle sales teamsProven ability to coach and develop early-career AEs or BDRs into high-performing sellersExperience in B2B SaaS, ideally with mid-market sales cyclesStrong command of pipeline management, forecasting, and CRM tools (Salesforce preferred)Excellent communication, coaching, and organizational skillsFluent English; additional European languages are a plus
