About the Role:
Are you an experienced teaching assistant passionate about supporting young learners in a vibrant primary school environment? If so, this opportunity in London could be perfect for you!
A well-regarded Primary School in the Borough of Redbridge is seeking Higher Level Teaching Assistants (HLTAs) to join their team from September 2025. This is a term-time only role paid on a daily rate.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide high-quality support to students in various subjects for KS1/KS2 year groups.
- Assist in planning and preparing lessons and resources
- Support students with learning difficulties on a 1:1 or small group basis, particularly those who need the additional help.
- Assist the classroom teacher in managing behaviour and promoting a positive learning environment
- Monitoring behaviour and students'' progress and provide feedback to the teacher.
- Assist with extracurricular activities and school events.
- Provide temporary cover across the school, delivering engaging and inclusive lessons to ensure continuity in the absence of the regular teacher.
Requirements for the ideal candidate:
- A recognised HLTA qualification is desired but not essential, providing you have extensive experience in the role.
- Previous experience working in a primary school
- Strong experience working with children with SEN.
- Patience, flexibility, and the ability to adapt to the needs of individual children.
- Excellent communication, organisational, and interpersonal skills.
- The ability to work both independently and part of a team.
- A genuine passion for working with children and supporting their development.
