Level 3 Nursery Practitioner
Start Date: September 2026
Location: Kingston Upon Thames
Contract: Monday to Friday - 30 hours a week 11.30 - 6 p.m. (term time only)
Salary: Negotiable - depending on experience

About the role and school

This is a community infant and nursery school in the area of Kingston upon Thames, serving children aged 2 to 7. It provides a safe, inclusive, and language-rich learning environment, with a strong focus on early childhood development, communication skills, and fostering independence. The school is part of a federation with a nearby junior school and is recognised for its outstanding quality of education and early years provision.

Job Responsibilities

• Work with the class teacher and EYFS team to support the care, welfare and development of all the pupils in the class to which you are assigned.
• Support the class teacher in the delivery of the curriculum through contributing to planning, record keeping and the assessment of children.
• Work with the After School Club Managers to support the care, welfare and development of all the pupils at TASC which you are assigned.
• Prepare and manage activities, in line with the school''s policies and in liaison with the class teacher.
• Read stories or sing songs and rhymes with the whole class for short periods of time

Qualifications/Experience

• NVQ Level 3 in childcare studies or equivalent
• Experience early years education, teaching, learning and play
• Be patient, flexible, and adaptable, enjoy working as part of a team and be able to show initiative
• Enhanced DBS Certificate with the Update Service
• Right to work in the UK
