Bright Star Talent is currently recruiting for a-Maths Teacher-to join a secondary school based in-Skelmersdale, Lancashire (WN8 6JN).

We are looking for a confident and enthusiastic Maths Teacher who can deliver engaging lessons across-KS3 and KS4, supporting pupils of varying abilities and helping them to achieve their full potential.

This is a great opportunity for an experienced Maths Teacher or a strong ECT looking to join a supportive secondary school environment. The successful candidate will be confident managing a classroom, building positive relationships with pupils and delivering the Maths curriculum effectively.

The role will include:

• Teaching Maths across KS3 and KS4

• Planning and delivering engaging, well-structured lessons

• Preparing pupils for GCSE Maths

• Differentiating lessons to meet a range of abilities and learning needs

• Assessing, monitoring and recording pupil progress

• Creating a positive and productive classroom environment

• Managing behaviour effectively in line with school policies

• Working collaboratively with the Maths department and wider teaching team

• Supporting pupils to build confidence and develop their Maths skills

We are looking for someone who:

• Holds QTS or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification

• Has experience teaching Maths within a secondary school setting

• Is confident delivering the KS3 and KS4 Maths curriculum

• Has strong classroom and behaviour management skills

• Is reliable, organised and committed to supporting pupil progress

• Can build positive professional relationships with pupils and staff

• Holds an Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or is willing to obtain one

• Can provide satisfactory references and complete all relevant safeguarding and compliance checks
