Position: Assistant Support Worker
Location: Bushey, Watford
Salary: -26,229 per annum
Hours: Full-time (37.5 hours per week)
Are you passionate about empowering people to live independently and with dignity? We are looking for a compassionate and enthusiastic Assistant Support Worker to join our dedicated team at Stainton Court, a supported living service for individuals with learning disabilities.
You will work collaboratively with the people we support and colleagues to create an inclusive, respectful environment where everyone feels valued. Your role will involve:
- Supporting with medication
- Providing personal care
- Encouraging life skills such as cooking, cleaning, shopping, and budgeting
- Organising trips and activities that promote independence
- Helping individuals achieve personal goals through tailored support plans and risk assessments
Hours: 37.5 hours per week, worked across a two-week rolling rota.
This role includes a mixture of shifts, including:
- 7:00am to 3:00pm
- 10:00am to 6:00pm
- 1:00pm to 9:00pm
- 2:00pm to 10:00pm plus a sleep-in shift (paid at-52.78 per night)
The post includes regular sleep-in duties and requires flexibility to work every other weekend as part of the rota.
About You
No previous experience is required - just a positive attitude, a willingness to learn, and a genuine desire to make a difference. We will provide full training and ongoing support to help you succeed. It is essential that you hold a full UK driving licence with access to a vehicle.
Holds a care certificate or willingness to undertake a care qualification.
